Valeria Nogales Herrera

Biography

A geological engineer from Ecuador graduated from Escuela Politécnica Nacional. Valeria has more than three years of experience in several fields of geology, like sedimentary basins, risk assessment and the oil industry. Her most recent positions included research assistant in the "Tomorrow's Cities" project sponsored by the UK government and geoscientist in Halliburton, where she performed different log analyses for more than five Latin American countries. Now, she is a Fulbright grantee at Cornell University, starting her M.Sc. in geological science with Professor Karin Olso Hoal.
